Ruby Developer

Working in the Agile team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the billing system dedicated to processing payments for GetResponse services. Your tasks will mainly consist of backend work, but you will also have the possibility to touch frontend layers with some mentor supervision.

Your daily responsibilities will consist of:

  • development and maintenance of existing applications (80:20)
  • striving for clean and high-quality code by following good practices, doing code reviews and writing unit tests
  • building secure solutions
  • monitoring applications
  • task estimation
  • creation and updating of documentation
  • cooperation and support for other team members and departments in the company
  • reporting work progress
  • constant improvement of qualifications

Tech stack we expect:

  • Ruby and Ruby On Rails
  • RSpec for testing
  • web application characteristics and environment (HTTP protocol, cookies, session, etc.)
  • clean code principles (SOLID, GoF design patterns)
  • MySQL database
  • Docker
  • RESTful API
  • CI/CD technologies

On top of that, we really value:

  • at least 3 years of commercial experience
  • familiarity with security aspects of web applications (OWASP Top 10)
  • experience with teamwork using Git
  • good communication skills and understanding of teamwork
  • excellent command of Polish and good command of English (min. B2)

Nice to have, but not required:

  • understanding of performance and scalability aspects of web applications
  • knowledge of Capybara
  • experience with GitLab, JIRA, Confluence
  • knowledge of an additional script language
  • practical knowledge of React.js
  • familiarity with Agile Manifesto

Salary range:

  • Contract of employment: 10460 – 16740 PLN gross/ month
  • B2B contract: 600 – 960 PLN net/ man-day
